Yup I would agree.  I was doing pretty on losing weight before we went on our cruise in September.  It has seem since we came back I have not put any attention on keeping off my weight. :-(   Plus now with the holidays and all the parties.  I think I will put of trying to lose weight until after January.  We have one fly-in, Camera club party, EAA party, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and a Birthday party for Ely…  A lot of Holiday Parties.

I’m going to try to stay... Read more »

Loves Landing Fly-In 2009

EAA Chapter 1236 had our annual fly-in.  The weather was beautiful the only problem was the wind.  Everyone managed to land safely.  It started around 9am.  When I got down to the Washburn’s hangar to start taking pictures there were already airplanes there.  It was the standard fly-in, but it’s always nice to see people out flying their planes.  There were all kinds of planes even one helicopter showed up for the fly-in.  We also had a lunch for everyone to have.  Everyone had a nice time. Below is the pictures that I took... Read more »

I went and did two test to see what political party I fall in.  One is The Political Compass it is one that is long, but doesn’t take long to do.  The other is World’s Smallest Political Quiz.  Over the last few years I have changed some of my feelings and opinions about current things.  I don’t put my self as a Democrat and can’t completely put my self as a Republican either.

So I decided to take both those tests which said I’m a Libertarian.

This wasn’t really a vacation, but Ken had to do some business down in Miami for a few days.  So we decided for me to go down with him.  For a few reasons, one being the long drive down and just to be together at night.   We stayed at Best Western down in Miami. We didn’t stay on the beach though, but were we did stay was nice.  Miami is an interesting place, but in NO WAY would I ever live there.

I took my “small” camera down.  Which was really nice. I did take some pictures while Ken was out doing his engineering jobs. We weren’t... Read more »

*****Photos are below my review of our cruise.*****

Day 1 – Sept. 6th Sunday – Miami

We had a 5 hour drive down to Miami.  We started off about 9:30am which would have gotten us to the port by 2pm.  But plans do change, sometimes not for the good.  We got on the Florida Turn Pike, just near Clermont another driver signaled us that we needed to stop. We did pull over and found out our back left tire was low.  We soon found out that we had a flat tire. We got off at the next exit and pulled in to a gas station and put air... Read more »

The book “1984″ and “Atlas Shrugged” are starting to come true. I have herd of Atlas Shrugged and I am reading it now.  I also plan to read 1984 which I have seen the movie.  Both those books are about government control over peoples lives.  Also they are about very few people producing “things” and a lot of people asking for hand outs.  When you have more people taking from those that produce then you have problems.  A society can not lasted long that way.

There are groups our there that are working to get our “liberties” back.  Read more »

Well I have lost a few pounds.  Today I weighed my self.  The scale said 127.7 pounds.  I have been under 130 for a few days.  But today was the first time I was below 128.  :-) That was nice to see. Hopefully I can stay under an 128 until our cruise.  I’m really wanting to go down to 125 before our cruise.  But I don’t think I’ll make that goal.  If I do I’ll be very happy.

My goal on the cruise is not to gain a whole lot of weight.  I know when I... Read more »

That’s  how long we have until we step on Carnival Valor.  This will be a great vacation.  We don’t have anything planned in Grand Cayman or Cozumel.  But will be meeting up with a lady named Myrna in Roatan. She is the niece of an Chief Engineer my dad works with.  They live in Roatan.  So she will be taking us around.  So I did a little research on my own of what is on the island.  But I’m also going to ask the Chief Engineer what he thinks we should do. His name is Henry. ... Read more »
