Also most done.  I have one more book to read on the course – Architectural Photography then I’ll be done with the written part.  Then its just a matter of getting the photo done.  I have to send in 4 out 6 photos with the written work.  It’s the end of February.  My goal is to get this course done and sent in by the end of March or earlier.  I will be happy when I complete this course. I did learn from it and think it has helped my photography.  So less then a month and then course will be check off my list of things done this year…..

I thought to my self “Why not do it..”  I have been taking pictures for about 4 years now with a DSLR Canon camera. I am think getting good at taking pictures. Also I go to a camera club every month and doing an online course through NYIP. I have made about 22 pictures now that I would consider good pictures that anyone would want to put on their walls at home..

So I have put them up for sell on my web site.. To the left right under my name is KRiz Photo. If you click on that link you will see the photos. Hopefully you will like them enough to want to buy one.

Well I don’t know what will happen, but I have to try this and see if I can be one of those people that sells their and not have it sit in a closet collecting dusk.

My photography club lasted year was only about bringing photos in to compete.  Which I didn’t mind but did get expensive. When you have to get 11*14 pictures.  But this year is different. We will be doing “education” nights and also compete nights. This month I learn finally how to water mark my photos and also to put copy write info in the photo its self. It was an great night.  I also was asked to be on the education group. We will see how that goes this year.. But I think this will be a good year for the club.

North Central Florida Photography Club tries to be a well rounded club. Like most clubs they have their problems. One thing about this club is they want club involvement in every thing. Although only board members gets to vote on club changes. They do want to know what the club thinks and they vote by what the members say.

Like we just changed a few things for next year. And the non-board members had input. One of the changes is to have more educational classes. So now at least 3 of the months will be for education. A few months will be for competition and probably some months will be of critiquing photos. So a lot of changes has been made for the up and coming year.

Our club was becoming like most clubs were you just had competitions and nothing else. Well the membership spoke up. And some screaming and yelling went on. But ideals got out and people got to say what they felt about their art of photography and were the club should go. I’m going to help out in this change, I’ll be helping out with coming up with educational sessions. Thank god I’m not the only one doing it. I think next year will be a good change for the club…

I just bought a new Canon lens it’s the 28-135mm IS. I research two other lens. The Tamron 24-135mm and the Canon 28-105mm (Not the L lens).  I ended up with the Canon 28-135mm. So far I like the lens. It does well with color and it seems pretty sharp for me. I have done a few shots with it and I’m happy with it.  The IS feature works well also. I can’t wait to really try it out..

Well the EAA meeting is coming up next weekend. So I’ll really get to use it then.

Right now I’m working on a home study course by NYIP. I have been working on it now for about a year or so already. I have stop and put it on hold a few times.. Sometimes lives comes up and puts things on hold like this.

But now I’m back doing it. Right now I’m working on Unit 4, which is Portraits. I think it will take some time to get the projects together. But I think I’ll learn a lot by doing them. That is going to be interesting to see what I can come up with. Also how well I do with portraits.

Well on to the camera club. This months subjects is open. Which means we can bring any subject we like. You can bring 2 color prints, 2 black and white and 2 creative. I go to the meeting and I always learn something new.

I think I have a long way to go, before I’m really good.

I always liked taking pictures. But never really did anything with it. About 3 years ago I finally got a D-SLR camera. I decided on getting a Canon 20D with a Sigma lens 18-125mm. I have been using that camera ever since. I think my photography has much improved. But I still have a “LOT” to learn. Once I got the camera I looked around for a camera club to go to. I ended up finding with one up in Ocala. It’s about 30 minutes north of were I live. Plus I’m doing a course through the NYIP. That has help me develop my photography.

The Club did our 1st show in April. It turned out to be a great show. We will probably do it again next year..

This year I plan on improving even more..
