Well here is Nathan Risley. Malika and David now have their second child. Ken now has his second grand-child and for my it will be my second step-grand child. It’s nice to see the family growing. Nathan is only 6 days old and has a whole world open up to him.
With his parents, grand-parents and great grand-parents. He will have an great support while growing up.

Well today is our 5 year anniversary. Did we do anything special this year. No we didn’t, we did go to a neighborhood party and we both hugged and kiss each other in the morning. We didn’t even do that when we first got up. But we both new what day it was. Just haven’t done any big this year. But I guess you don’t need to go ALL out every year. We both know we are still “friends” and still “love” each other and that’s the important thing….

We had two Christmas get togethers. One at my parents house last weekend and the other at Ken’s dad’s house. It’s always nice to get with people you care about this time of year. This year has been rough but everyone made it threw just fine. Plus I few good things did happen. One being my mother received a Kidney transplant in Feb. Which her changes of getting one was not very high. She has been doing very well since then and her health has improved. We had a nice family gathering. It’s nice just to get together for no reason at all. We had a good turn out of people and the weather was also good. At least while everyone was eating. We did get a down pour right when a few people were leaving, but didn’t lasted long.

Read More →A year and 47 days. That’s how long it took for my mom to get an kidney. The call came about 12:30am on Feb. 26, 2009. Which happens to be our anniversary (Ken & I). You wait for that call all this time then when it comes you think what do I do now..
My mother headed down to Tampa General Hospital around 5:30 in the morning. I tried to go back to bed after we got the call. But that wasn’t easy. So I didn’t get that much sleep that night. Christmas day went well. Ken and I went down to pick my mother up. Then we headed to Ken’s sister house were about 16 other family members joined up. Not everyone was there, but I guess that would be normal for big families. My dad was working, so he couldn’t be there. Hopefully next year that will be different.
Everyone enjoyed them selves all day. We got to see some people that we don’t see all the time. And was able to talk to people and see what they were up to and had planned for the next year. It’s always nice to be able to get together with the family... Read more »
Yes I know I’m a bit late in writing about Thanksgiving. But better late then never.
My husband and I decided to drove down to Apollo Beach. His dad has a house down there which we have been going to for about 3- 4 years. My mother and dad come along also. But this year my dad was working so he couldn’t be here this year. We went down to pick my mother up then headed down to my father in laws house. We got there a little before 11am. The funny thing is we had probably the longest drive then anyone and we got there first.

My Father In Law turn 80 years old today. The whole family got together over the weekend to celebrate his birthday. I hope to be as active as he is at his age. He stays young by being involved in the things he loves to do. We all can learn from that. Everyone at the party enjoyed them selves just by being there. It’s always nice to see the family together. Not everyone was able to show, but as big as Ken’s family is that’s probably normal. Not everyone can be there.
If Guy keeps this up he will be celebrating his 90th soon.
I don’t think so…Bryan and Joanna are the exact opposite of boring and uncool people. At least from what I have seen. They grant people a lot of beingness. Plus they are doing so well in life and making things go right for them. I have seen Bryan go from only having a private pilot license to working for a commercial airline in about a year or so.. That’s quite a feat. Right now he is co-pilot for an airline and seems to really like it. He set a goal of doing that and he made it. He did what he set out to do. What ever he does in his future he will do well in.
